Fostering a Culture of Intercultural Communication
Microaggressions are the everyday verbal, nonverbal, and environmental slights, snubs or insults, whether intentional or unintentional, which communicate negative messages to target persons based solely upon their group membership. In this training, you will learn about the various forms of microaggressions and their psychological and behavioral impact on work environments.
The goals of this presentation are:
- To educate HR professionals and hiring managers about the origin of microaggressions and their various forms
- To generate awareness around the psychological and behavioral impact microaggressions have on individual employees and the organization as a whole
- To collaborate with participants on ways in which HR professionals and hiring managers can encourage a culture of intercultural communication within their organizations
