Searching for the Elusive Harringtons Penstemon

Eagle Valley Land Trust, Searching for the Elusive Harringtons Penstemon
Event Description:

Join Jessica Foulis from Eagle Valley Land Trust, Matt Pielsticker from the Town of Avon, and Nicola Ripley from Betty Ford Alpine Gardens on a hunt for the elusive Harrington’s Penstemon. This hike will take place from 9-11 am on Wednesday, June 19 and will focus wildflowers that can be found in the West Avon Preserve, in Avon, sagebrush community. Although we love dogs, they can have an impact, especially for wildlife. Please leave your furry friends at home. Please email community@evlt.org or call (970) 748-7654 for more information and to reserve your spot.

West Avon Preserve is conserved forever through a valuable partnership between Eagle Valley Land Trust and the Town of Avon. Community Land Connection Series events are free and open to the public. Those interested should come prepared to spend 2 hours outside with sun protection, water, proper layers for Colorado weather, sturdy waterproof shoes, and trekking poles if desired. Hikes are weather dependent, please check EVLT’s Facebook page on the day of the hike for information if there is inclement weather.
