Mni Wiconi: Water Is Life
Community Land Connection Series - Mni Wiconi: Water is Life - Thursday, August 6, 2020 5:30-7:30pm
Join Susie Kincade from Women’s Empowerment Workshop to discuss the values of riparian areas to wildlife, some Eagle River history, and a sensory walk that ends with water blessing on the banks of the river. The Duck Ponds are preserved forever through a partnership between Eagle Valley Land Trust, Eagle County Open Space and Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Community Land Connection Series events are free and open to the public. Those interested should come prepared to spend two hours outside with sun protection, water, proper layers for Colorado weather, sturdy waterproof shoes, and trekking poles if desired. In accordance with the current public health order, we ask that you please bring a face covering and hand sanitizer. Hikes are weather dependent, please check EVLT’s Facebook page on the day of the hike for information if there is inclement weather. Although we love dogs, not everyone else does, especially wildlife. Please leave your furry friends at home. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and to reserve your spot.
