MTB Trail: Elkhorn
At about 3 miles and 1,200 vertical gain, Elkhorn is a heart pumping, beautiful ride up singletrack immersed in aspen trees. After reaching the top of the Elkhorn trail, at the junction of the Village to Village trail, riders can continue on to access a large collection of trails on Beaver Creek Mountain or enjoy an out and back. The descent on Elkhorn starts with a recently improved top section of berms and rollers. Riders will quickly find themselves in tight singletrack. With a lot of riders heading uphill in peak season, make sure to yield to uphill traffic. The second half of the descent will make up for the grind on the way up the hill with long and open sections where you can pick up lots of speed.
Located on the south side of town, you can bike up Elkhorn from The Beaver Creek Landing. The Beaver Creek Elk Lot, below The Landing, allows for free summer parking and a short climb to reach the trailhead.
