Through the Lens With Jon Kedrowski
Through the Lens shares stories that have helped shape the Colorado ski industry. Dr. Jon Kedrowski, a geographer, author, and ski-mountaineer, examines Colorado's winter climate & the challenges of back country skiing.
As a Colorado native, Jon has been skiing since he was two years old. He climbed his first 14,000' mountain (14ers) at the age of 8 and finished all of the 58 Colorado 14ers before he turned 18. He is known around the globe for his challenging journey skiing all the Colorado 14,000' peaks in a single season in 160 days from January to June. He is a published author and a a veteran of over 20 international expeditions. His climbing of Everest in 2012, 2015, and recently 2018 without oxygen have been subjects of documentaries on Dateline NBC, CNN, the Discovery Channel, and the Smithsonian.
Ticket prices include beer, wine, and appetizers. $15 for Museum Members. $20 Non-Members. Reserved seats also available for Museum Members.
Museum is open from 10:00 am - 5:30 pm and closes for the event. Food and beverages available at 5:30. Talk begins at 6:00 pm and concludes by 7:00 pm; beer, wine and appetizers included.
