We're Barreling Into February; It's Vail Valley This Week!

By Caitlin Row | Tuesday, January 29, 2019

February has long been my favorite month to ski and revel in wintertime fun. Snow conditions are generally quite good, plus it's my birthday month. The Burton U.S. Open Snowboarding Championships is kicking off on February 25 at Vail Mountain as well, bringing the best snowboarders in the world to my hometown. Yay!

With that in mind, I'm excited to welcome in the season of Aquarius with some sunshine. Right now weather predictions point to bluebird skies and sunshine on Friday, February 1. Saturday, February 2, will likely warm up to low 40s, so that will certainly be a good day to get outside and play. If we're lucky, and I think we are, more snow is on the way next week. Click here for the 10-day forecast.

Here are my top picks for Vail Valley This Week.

More Vail Things To Do

Being gluten-free can be hard for a beer lover. That's why I'm excited that West Vail Liquor Mart carries Holidaily beer, brewed in Golden, Colorado. This beer is 100-percent gluten-free (it's certified on the can) and it tastes pretty good. They even carry the stout!

Eye Pieces of Vail, a luxury eyewear shop with five locations around the Vail Valley, will be hosting a variety of trunk shows this month. Click here to see the lineup.

Looking to update your bedroom with quality bedding? The Linen Kist in Avon offers fine linens in tens of thousands of fabric options.

If you're planning a nice dinner out, consider Vista at Arrowhead in Edwards. Its menu focuses on seasonal ingredients and upscale service.

And with that ...

We'll see you in Vail.
