Vail Fun Continues as September Arrives in the Mountains

By Caitlin Row | Tuesday, September 4, 2018

My love affair with autumn continues. The mornings are crisp. I'm digging out favorite vests. And a cool night breeze means sleep comes more easily.

It may only be the first week in September, but after a too-hot summer, fall is charging in like a hero. Aspen trees continue to turn from green to gold, and I am still predicting an earlier-than-normal peak color season. Yet, only time will tell. Stay tuned for weekly reports.

Weather this week is a mix of rain, thunderstorms, sunshine and clouds. Friday and Saturday, September 7 and 8, will be pretty clear, though rain is predicted for Sunday, September 9. Click here for the always-updating 10-day forecast.

With that in mind, here are my top picks for Vail Valley This Week.
