Vail and Beaver Creek Ski Season is Just Around the Corner!

By Caitlin Row

At the time of this writing, snow is falling. And it's not just a sporadic flurry. Vail's white gold is coming down hard and it will certainly stick, depending on elevation.

That's good news, folks, as Vail and Beaver Creek ski seasons are kicking off very soon. Vail Mountain opens on Friday, November 17. Then Beaver Creek opens on Wednesday, November 22.

Weather predictions for the rest of the week point to mostly sunshine and clouds, with some precipitation on Saturday (though it might be rain at lower elevations). Looking ahead to next week, bluebird skies are on the books for Monday through Wednesday, November 13 through 15. I wish there was more snow in this week's forecast, but we'll take what we can get.

With that in mind, here are my top picks for Vail Valley This Week.
