It's Thanksgiving week and everyone in the Vail Valley has a lot to be thankful for this year!

Last weekend I went skiing with my husband for the first time this season. It was surprising how much powder was up there, given it's early season. My legs were groaning, and I've decided it's time to get serious about ski conditioning; this is good news given all the extra calories that will be consumed this week for the holiday.
With that in mind, here are my top picks for Vail Valley This Week.

Vail Things To Do
Considering going out for your Thanksgiving meal? It's a little last minute, but there still may be reservations available. Restaurants hosting a holiday meal include La Tour Restaurant and Bar in Vail Village and Maya at the Westin in Avon.
Synergy Center for Wellness in Avon is hosting a Thanksgiving Pilates Class at 7 a.m. and then again at 8 a.m.
On Friday, November 23, Ein Prosit in Avon is featuring live music by Runaway Grooms from 7 to 10 p.m.
Beaver Creek's Vilar Performing Arts Center is featuring Warren Miller's Face of Winter in two showings, 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., on Saturday, November 24.
Enjoy live music with Peter Vavra at Splendido in Beaver Creek at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 26.

Birds of Prey World Cup events kick off on Thursday, November 29, with an Eighties Welcome Ski Party from 4 to 7 p.m. Warren Miller's Face of Winter will show again as part of this event. It's planned for Vilar on Friday, November 30, at 7:30 p.m.
Slifer Smith & Frampton's Breakfast with Santa is Saturday, December 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Luigi’s Pastahouse in Eagle.
Vail Snow Days runs December 13 through 16 all around Vail, with pub crawls, live music on Friday and Saturday, and much more.
La Tour Restaurant and Bar in Vail Village is hosting a Fine Wines of France Wine Dinner on Thursday, December 13. Reservations are required and are being taken now!
