By Tracey Flower | Monday, December 16, 2019

We are officially in the home stretch for holiday shopping. Whether you’ve left it all for the last minute or you just need to pick up a few final stocking stuffers, here are some Vail gift ideas to get you started.

Things to wear

A Golden Bear necklace: The Golden Bear’s iconic bear logo is an unofficial symbol of the Vail Valley, and they have a wide variety of styles to choose from. They also have earrings, bracelets and other items featuring the classic logo.

A pair of Tessa Clogs: These Swedish-style clogs are adorable (and comfy) and are designed and hand-painted by a Vail Valley local.

Things to eat and drink

A Vail-themed coffee blend from Vail Mountain Coffee & Tea Company: Their Colorado Signature Blends (with names like Bridge Street Blend, Gore Range Blend and Meadow Mountain Blend) are great for anyone who loves Vail and coffee in equal amounts.

A gift basket from Mountain Man Fruit & Nut Co.: A gift basket full of trail mix, chocolates, dried fruits and other goodies is always a crowd-pleaser.

A bottle of 10th Mountain Bourbon from 10th Mountain Whiskey and Spirit Company: Warm someone up from the inside out with an award-winning bottle of 10th Mountain Bourbon.

Things to read

Restorative Yoga for Beginners: This is the first book by local yoga studio owner and beloved yoga instructor Julia Clarke. (Tip: buy it from The Bookworm to get a signed copy).

A great ski town cookbook: Local author Jennie Iverson has curated a series of beautiful cookbooks, each with a ski town theme, including Ski Town Après Ski, Ski Town Soups or Ski Town Brunch.

Eli and Mort’s Epic Adventures Vail: This book, also written by local authors, is a great option for the kiddos in your life, especially if they love to ski or snowboard.

A couple of other things

Monopoly Vail Edition: The Vail-themed game pieces (one is a little gondola car!) alone make this game a must-have for anyone who loves Vail.

Vail Tea Towel: I was given one of these as a gift several years ago and it still makes me smile every time I see it.

Happy holidays! We’ll see you in Vail!
