Celebrate Spring Back To Vail With Some Well-Earned Turns

By Caitlin Row | Tuesday, April 9, 2019

It's Spring Back to Vail all weekend and that means lots of fun will be had. Conditions on the mountain are perfect for the World Pond Skimming Championships at Golden Peak on Sunday, April 14. If you've never witnessed pond skimming, it's a sight to see. Top male and female contestants will compete for next year's Epic Pass.

In other news, mountain-bike trails are starting to dry out down valley! Eagle's Haymaker Trail was reported open as of last weekend, with the caveat that "muddy trails are closed trails" and "if you encounter mud on any trails, please turn around," according to Eagle Outside. Keep an eye on the weather forecast before you go! That said, I'm ready to stretch a new set of leg muscles and hope to get out there soon.

With that in mind, here are my top picks for Vail Valley This Week.

More Things To Do

Hey, ladies! Dogma Athletica in Edwards carries Terez, a fun brand of yoga and athletic wear that's also super fashionable. I love yoga pants like I love puppies, and Terez clothing is darn cute.

For all those locals and second-home owners considering a springtime reboot for their home, check out Ruggs Benedict in Avon. They are running a spring clearance sale on flooring options.

In the mood for a sour beer? Check out Crooked Stave Rose Sour Beer at Avon Liquor in, you guessed it, Avon. It's made with raspberries and blueberries!

Looking for a new book? Ask the Bookworm of Edwards about its Staff Picks!
