The Holiday Season is Officially Here in the Vail Valley!

By Caitlin Row | Tuesday, December 4, 2018

December in Vail is a truly magical time of year. Trees are well-adorned with holiday lights, temperatures dip, and the healthy event season kicks off. It's also when locals, visitors and second-homeowners alike are getting in the swing of ski season, building strength and confidence on the slopes. With all this early season snow, I'm feeling truly blessed!

Weather this week is a true mix, with evening snow showers predicted through Friday, then a clear weekend of skiing to follow. Temperatures will hover in the 30s all week. Sunday predictions point to sunny weather at the time of this writing; so get outside and enjoy it. For the full 10-day forecast, click here.

With that in mind, here are my top picks for Vail Valley This Week

More Vail Things To Do

Dogma Athletica in Edwards is offering a LIVE IT fitness group, focused on helping participants live happier, healthier lives – and keep fit through the holiday season.

Nova Guides, based in Redcliff, is offering snowmobile tours and snow-coach tours. What is a snow-coach tour, you ask? Guests can enjoy Colorado’s backcountry from a 13-passenger, heated, enclosed, four-track snow coach. This sounds pretty cool for skiers and non-skiers alike. It's a different way to enjoy our beautiful alpine landscape.

Want to upgrade your look? Check out Eye Pieces of Vail, with five locations around the valley. This group of shops carries many high-end eye-wear brands, including ski goggles.

Looking for a fun place to watch the game this weekend? Check out Vail Ale House in West Vail. Not only does it have a great pub menu, but also the craft beer offerings are expansive.

And with that ...

We'll see you in Vail!
