The Vail Valley is a magical place to be during the holidays, especially when snow is on the horizon. Here's the good news, folks. It's looking like it's going to be a freshly white Christmas!
Weather this week is pointing to a period of snow starting on Wednesday, December 19, then again on Friday and Saturday, December 21 and 22. Temperatures will hover mostly in the 30s, with possibly even a little sun on Sunday, December 23. Click here to view the 10-day forecast.
Vail Holidays events continue through December 31, and area venues are planning live music. There's a lot to do for visitors and locals alike.
With that in mind here are my top picks for Vail Valley This Week.

Vail Events On Tap
Ein Prosit in Avon is hosting live music by CMJ Jazz Trio on Friday, December 21, from 7 to 10 p.m. Then Charlie Wagner will perform live music there on Saturday, December 22, from 7 to 10 p.m.
Brothers Keeper will perform at Shakedown Bar in Vail Village on Saturday starting at 9:30 p.m.
The Vail Holidays Lantern Walk is planned for Sunday, December 23, at 4:30 p.m. It will make its way to the Gore Creek Promenade, ending at the grand opening of the 12th Annual Vail Winterfest Ice Theater.
Maya, a Mexican-fusion restaurant located at the Westin Riverfront Resort and Spa in Avon, will host a Christmas Brunch on Tuesday, December 25, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost for adults is $48, and children aged 5-12 cost $15.
