Bonfire Brewing Block Party Means Summer Fun Down Valley

It's the weekend of Bonfire Brewing Block Party, and that means loads of folks will head over to Eagle for live music and brews this weekend (read more about the lineup below).

Here's the good news: Mostly sunshine is in the forecast all weekend, with temperatures hovering in the pleasant 70s. While morning thunderstorms are predicted for Sunday, that could change as well. Check back for a weekend forecast updates here.

With that in mind, here are my top picks for Vail Valley This Week.

Vail Valley Events This Week

As mentioned above, the big event this weekend is Bonfire Brewing Block Party. The main festival is Friday and Saturday, June 1 and 2, with beer and live music being the draw for locals and visitors alike. The music lineup includes Galactic on Friday, along with Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Sam Bush and The Record Company on Saturday. A special musical performance by Dirty Dozen Brass Band and brunch is planned for Sunday, June 3. The Bonfire Brewing Block Party is located in downtown Eagle, which is about 30 miles west of Vail. Another fun event is the First Friday Fondue Night on June 1 at Ein Prosit in Avon. Monday Afternoon Club and Open Mic Night will happen at Ein Prosit on Monday, June 4.

More Events Coming Up

GoPro Mountain Games kicks off on Thursday, June 7, and runs through the weekend. This outdoor adventure festival includes lots of sporting competitions, live music, expos and more. Who's going!?

The Vail Craft Beer Classic is coming up, too! Events are planned June 15 through 17 around Vail. Check out the full Vail Craft Beer Classic schedule here. On top of the main tastings, Sip at the Summit and Toast of Vail, participants can join outdoor adventures, educational seminars and food and beer pairings. Check out its live music schedule here.

Whistle Pig Vail's inaugural live-music performance is Dispatch on Saturday, June 16, at Ford Amphitheater. Nahko and Medicine for the People will also perform.
