Autumn Off-Season Arrives (Sort Of) in Vail Valley, along with Oktoberfest

By Caitlin Row

With Labor Day in the rear-view mirror, life around Vail Valley is going to slow down a bit. That said, it certainly won't be quiet until (my guess) October rolls into town. There's a whole slew of events on the books for September!

Weather this week continues to hover on the warmer side, though it's definitely cooling off. Temperatures this weekend are predicted to hit high 70s, with thunderstorms expected Sunday and Monday at the time of this writing. I'm seeing weather reports shift a bit, so it's important to check back before you plan all-day outdoor activities. I love a good thunderstorm, but it's pretty scary to be caught in one outdoors.

With that in mind, here are my top picks for Vail Valley This Week.
