3 Restaurants Near Vail That Will Satisfy Your Asian/Indian Food Cravings

After a long day of play outside, I don't always feel like cooking. If you're like me, consider heading out (or ordering in) for some delicious Asian flavors. Here are my personal Vail-area Asian, Nepali and Indian restaurant top picks.

Annapurna Nepali & Indian Cuisine

250 S. Frontage Road W., Vail

Annapurna features some delicious flavors and a central location at Evergreen Lodge at Vail. Fill your tummy with favorites like boti saag (tandoori-roasted lamb sauteed in creamy spinach), goat curry (delicately seasoned, of course) and kawab (chicken, lamb or shrimp marinated in yogurt and herbs). Lunch and dinner menus are offered.

Pho Bay Avon

101 Fawcett Road, Avon

Pho Bay Avon is new to the Vail Valley, but it offers the same menu as its Silverthorne and Georgetown counterparts. The newest Pho Bay location is found near the Walmart Supercenter in Avon. Favorites include the pho with Vietnamese meatballs and Boba tea (20 flavors are available).

Sato Sushi Bar & Restaurant

105 Edwards Village Boulevard, Edwards

Sato is a favorite date-night spot, and it's open daily for dinner. I love every sushi roll I try here, and their rolls can be customized to be gluten-free. Try the caterpillar roll (eel, cucumber, smelt, wrapped in avocado) and the spider roll (soft-shell crab, Cali mix, yama gobo, smelt and more). A Happy Hour menu is available daily from 5 to 6 p.m. with 25 percent off all sushi and sushi rolls from the dinner menu.

And with that ...

We'll see you in Vail!
