By Caitlin Row | Tuesday, July 23, 2019

Rafting season keeps on going and going this summer due to late winter runoff and a colder than normal spring. That means there's still time to book an epic rafting experience with a Vail outfitter of your choice.

Here are three good outfitter options; book your trip today!

Timberline Tours

Timberline Tours operates a variety of guided whitewater-rafting trips (as well as back-country Jeep tours). Rafting tours vary depending on river conditions. Mellow, family-friendly rafting float trips are available as well.

Locations available for raft trips include Gore Canyon, Upper Colorado River, Shoshone, Dinosaur Discovery, Browns Canyon, The Numbers, Pine Creek, Vail Wine Tasting & Rafting, Dowd Chute Upper Eagle, Lower Eagle River and Gore Creek.

AVA's Vail location offers whitewater-rafting trips on four rivers, plus zipline tours and a one-hour driving tour of Vail.

"Upper Colorado River rafting trips depart from our Kremmling Outpost," according to AVA. "Choose a scenic float – great for smaller kids and those wanting a more relaxing river trip – or paddle inflatable kayaks. The advanced Class V Gore Canyon rafting trip also leaves from Kremmling."

Locations available for raft trips include Arkansas River, Upper Colorado River, Shoshone Rapids and more.
